We very closely with CEOP (Child Explotation and Online Protection Centre) and they have invited some CyberMentors to attend their 5 day camp this summer!

So, we are inviting you wonderful CyberMentors to come along! There will be heaps of fun activities including kayaking, campfires, raft building, abseiling, and lots more. You need to be between 14-17 in order to come along.

It will be held in Southampton from the 28th July until the 1st August and only costs £99 for everything as CEOP are paying the rest. Places are very limited though, so if you do want to come please email Zoe at

Symantec Releases Results Of Online Safety Survey
In February Symantec conducted an in-depth survey  of 2800 children and 7000 adults in 14 countries to try and get a better perspective of what kids are doing online and how aware the parents are. The survey covers Cyber-Bullying, Adult Content, Social Networking, and other areas of online activity.
 
Some of the information from the report includes:
48% of children world wide think they spend too much time online.
62% of the children surveyed said they have had a negative experience online  These range from stranger friending them to strangers trying to get them to meet in real life.
95% reported that they’ve established rules of conduct for themselves online.  This includes no Cyber Bullying and informing a parent if they are being bullied.

Lady GaGa gets even with the bullies at her old school

Last week Lady Gaga went back to her old school  in New York for the graduation of her little sister who is at the same high school. According to the New York Post Lady GaGa returned to the scene of the crime in an outrageous outfit that left no doubt exactly who she was and made it clear that the bad bullying she had received while she was there was not only not forgiven, but would never be forgotten.
